In the South African context, praxis carries a deeper weight. It is the bridge between knowing and doing, between research and reality. In a country shaped by decades of advocacy, policy battles, and community organising, praxis is the principle that knowledge without action is insufficient, and action without knowledge is reckless.

Praxis29 exists because civil society organisations across Africa are doing essential work that the world needs to see. But too often, that work is invisible. Not because the impact is not there, but because the systems built to communicate it were never given the attention or investment they deserve.
